Before & After School

As children get older and more independent, they need new challenges. That’s why Fairy Tale Academy offers a school-age program for before and after school care and enrichment programs that address the changing and more varied needs of growing school-age children. Reading, math, art, music and science activities ensure that your child's mind is engaged and help create a lifelong love of learning and exploration.  We also offer child care during Upper Darby School District closed days, spring break, winter break and summer camp. 

What will a typical closed school day look like? (Subject to change)

• 7:30-9 AM: Arrival, free play inside or outside
• Morning meeting
• Morning snack (provided)
• Planned activity
• Outside playtime or walk around the neighborhood or to a park
• Lunchtime outside if weather allows
• Free play inside
• Outdoor time or water play
• Afternoon snack (provided)
• Planned activity/Homework
• 4:30-5:30PM: Outdoor play and dismissal

Providing the supervision and structure that school agers need and the fun and flexibility they enjoy. Quiet time is also available for homework. As an added convenience, transportation is provided to and from Upper Darby K Center, Hillcrest, Highland Park, and St Laurence Elementary Schools
